I believe this is why.


I think i had to to with the UK exploring and colonizing different continents. WW1 and WW2 were the U.S. entered and helped to quell the Axis. Which allowed to expand it more since the U.S. became a super power in the world and also help those countries rebuild after the wars. Thats my opinion.
