There are 14 groups of chinese dialects. Each group has many sub dialects.

The groups are:

Gan
Hakka
Huizhou
Jin
Mandarin
Min Bei
Min Dong
Min Nan
Min Zhong
Puxian
Wu
Xiang
Cantonese
